Cheating in School Cheating is an issue nowadays that has affected many students at one time or another throughout their education. It’s a serious issue that can be dealt with in a lot of different ways. Some examples of cheating are copying homework, looking at someone else’s test, plagiarizing, and a new way to cheat based on recent technology, which allows another student to now buy or steal papers from the Internet, and passing them off as their own. Being lazy and freaking out if you’re not passing is not a good reason to cheat.Nothing good will ever come from cheating, no matter how good you are at it. In high school, there are serious consequences for cheating. Students who get caught cheating by a teacher will have their paper taken up and get an automatic zero, or they will rip up the paper, and the teacher will contact the student’s parents and tell them what happened. If the student perhaps was taking their final, and was caught cheating, he or she basically will fail the class and will have to take the class all over again.Another cause of students cheating is that some people out there are just lazy and want a quick A in the class and to make sure they pass. If students actually cared about their education, they wouldn’t be cheating, and they would want to do their own work on their own. Most students who cheat in high school just want to graduate, and finish up with their high school years. The last reason why students cheat is that people are freaking out if they are failing a class. Failing a class and doing bad in the class makes students cheat.If students are failing, they will end up cheating on the upcoming test by using someone who is smart in the class, so they can boost their grade up, so they will be able to pass the class. If students are failing the class, they should be going in after school, before school, or during their lunch time on getting help from the teacher to understand the subject more in order to pass the class. The effect of getting caught cheating is there’s a lot of consequences that will happen to you, and having to take the class all over again, and the ffect of how people are lazy and just want a quick A is that students are going to become less responsible for their work, and if students are getting these good grades by cheating, and end up graduating high school, but they don’t know what they want to do with their future, or they do we just let them come in, and do the job they want, but at the same time they could of learned how to do that subject in high school, and if they would of done their own work they would know how to do it.Freaking out if the student isn’t passing the class they should be going in for tutorials, and studying hard instead of thinking to themselves that they don’t need to study, or anything while they need to. Over all, the consequences of cheating will hurt you in your life, and no one should be proud of cheating. Nothing good will ever come from cheating. While some people say cheating isn’t wrong unless they get caught they are wrong and that cheating is stealing, and stealing is wrong no matter.

John, however, does not care about Mary and . . . merely uses her body for selfish pleasure and ego gratification of a tepid kind (Atwood). Mary believes that she can use sex as a weapon to hold on to John. She is blinded by her love for him and refuses to accept or believe that she is treated badly by John. Atwood states that, John goes out the door with hardly so much as a good-night and three days later he turns up at six oclock and they do the whole thing over again (Atwood). Mary is trapped in a vicious loveless cycle with John. She is unable to find the strength to break this cycle and fears she is nothing without John. In another scenario, Atwood addresses freedom in relationships and the notorious double-standard theory. Mary is stuck in a relationship between two men, John and James. John is an older married man having an affair with Mary, but is in love with her. James is a wild young man free from lifes commitments. Mary is not impressed by John, but is infatuated by James free and unbridled life. James is often away seeing the world upon the seat of his flashy motorcycle. Atwood states that, Freedom isnt the same for girls, so in the meantime Mary spends Thursday evenings with John. Thursdays are the only days John can get away (Atwood). Marys life is insignificant and she is stifled into planning her life around John and James. This scenario displays the subservient and obedient roles women were expected to take on in many relationships. In the remaining scenarios of Atwoods prose, Happy Endings, two other characters are introduced, Fred and Madge. These characters illustrate more practical and equal roles in the male-female relationship. Atwood erases the sexist ideologies against women in these scenarios, concluding that whatever the relationship story may be . . . the endings are the same however you slice it (Atwood). The reality is men and women both die and that in life, women should not be considered submissive idealists. Sally Ito also celebrates womanhood and feminism in many of her literary works. Ito voices strong feminist themes, depicting women as empowering and compelling figures. She centers much of her writing on portraying women realistically and commemorating the bonds shared by women. In the poems,  Sonata for Three Sleeping Women and Sisters of the Modern Mind, Ito honors the bonds of sisterhood and links the diverse stages and experiences of a womans life. The poem, Sonata for Three Sleeping Women, illustrates Itos feminist view of the remarkable journey from girlhood into womanhood. Some women are stimulated by the need for knowledge and intellectual growth. Other women seek out stimulating careers, while others long for the love and nurturing bonds of motherhood. Women have the freedom to take on many of these roles in society and are not to be hindered or pigeonholed into one stereotypical category. The main themes of the paintings of this period were death, old age, poverty, melancholy and sadness. The more optimistic and positive Rose Period came to take the place of the gloomy mood and feeling of despair. Pink and red became the dominant colors. The theme also changed. The Surrealism movement was growing in popularity at that time, and Picasso was also influenced by it. When the artist heard about the bombing of the undefended town Guernica in 1937 he decided to express his own thoughts about the tragedy. No matter what you think though, the only way to solve your problem is to sit down and think about it and come up with all the positive sides and all the negative sides of the situation, and then decide what you should do. I was 16 years old when I faced my biggest crisis. I did not know what to do; I even refused to think about it. I thought everything was going to resolve itself but that was impossible. My mother had received an opportunity to come legally to the United States as permanent residents and she was also allowed to take her family with her – my father, my brother and me. They seemed to be happy about it. That was their dream, but I didn’t know what to think and whether to be happy or sad about this. The thought that I had to leave everything I owned and everything I loved and then go somewhere else to start a whole new life scared me. What about all the friends I had? CONCERT REPORT #2 Beatles Z320   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  For my second concert report I thought that I would write about my only experience hearing songs of the Beatles live. The Rib America Festival was hosted by The Beatles Live Repertoire. The group dressed exactly like the Beatles, even had the same names, John, Paul, George, and Ringo. I had never heard any Beatles songs live before, so that was enough to get me off my butt. Not to mention, it was free entertainment, not a bad time at all.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  So the show starts, and I’m not sure what to expect. Paul comes out and introduces the band, ( very good English accent ) and then started out with â€Å"I want to hold your hand â€Å". He mentioned that their songs would for the most part go in chronological order. And after comparing notes to my book, they were on track for the most part. All of the songs played before their break, were songs on albums released before Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band. I wasn’t impressed with this song, however. No, it isn’t my favorite song, but I just wasn’t impressed by the playing of the song. The song, the beat, something was dead about the song, hard to put my finger on it.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚     Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  The next song was â€Å"Please, Please me†. And I had never heard this song before that night, and I liked the song a lot. Then after hearing it in class, I remembered hearing it for the first time, good song. The rest of the songs I recall liking very much for one reason or another. Good song to hear live.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  I knew it was drawing towards the end of the show, and I hadn’t heard the song that I really wanted hear â€Å" Revolution†. It was about a quarter till, and still no â€Å"Revolution†. â€Å"Back in the USSR†, â€Å"Come Together†, and â€Å"OB-LA-DI, OB-LA-DA†, were their final songs. I was mad, but still a very good show, and I was glad that I went. The crown wasn’t satisfied enough, and chanted for more. Classification Final Draft Types of Friends When I was a child, my parents raised me and my siblings to appreciate various kinds of friends. There are three types of friends I know of in this lifetime. I classify them according to how well they know me. We make friends or encounter them as we go every day. Uneducated one have to work in simple temporary jobs or have to do very heavy muscles work in a construction or field. More earned money over a life time means a higher quality of life, better food and a longer life than someone without a lot of education. The issue of income according to their jobs brings us to another aspect which is the social status of these people. When you have money, you seem to be respectable for other people. One other reason why educated people have a superior status is that they act in life according to their level of knowledge. The truth that if you earned a lot, the status of life is higher, but if you have those blue collar jobs the social status is somehow lower. The mentality case, we have the impression that educated people are open-minded whereas uneducated people are somewhat closed-minded. This is the reality, the educated people have an advantage of greater knowledge about the world, other people, possibilities and existence because they are educated not only technically or scientifically but also culturally. They have a chance to see the world from the eyes of other people through the education they receive. Yet uneducated people are mostly straight laced because they have what they see and learn from their parents and what they experienced in life and the sometimes its upset most is that they treat their children with the same mentality. However, educated people want their children to go far beyond them. In 1975, college dropout and 19 year old Frank DiPascali joined Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities, LLC (BMIS) following recruitment by his neighbor from Queens and Madoff’s longtime personal secretary Annette Bongiorno. Despite his lack of a college education or any formal financial training, over his 33 years with Madoff’s New York firm DiPascali became a key lieutenant to Madoff, rising from a research analyst to serve in roles such as Director of Options Trading and Chief Financial Officer. While it is unclear to investigators whether Madoff ever ran a legitimate investment business, Madoff claimed in court that the Ponzi scheme only began in 1991 and thereafter did not involve legitimate investment activities. In court testimony, DiPascali recounted that by the early 990’s, he knew the investment operation was fraudulent saying, â€Å"No purchases or sales of securities were actually taking place. It was all fake; it was fictitious. It was wrong, and I knew it was wrong at the time. As the primary deputy to Madoff, Frank DiPascali had a unique position of managing the massive fraud concocted by his boss. Through the two decades that the Ponzi scheme ran, DiPascali only cemented himself further in dishonesty rather than extracting himself from, or informing authorities of, the fraud. DiPascali told Judge Richard Sullivan that while receiving orders and executing the fraud, he â€Å"knew it was criminal, and I did it anyway. † In 2006 when the firm’s computer programmers Jerome O’Hara and George Perez refused to continue running the software that produced the fictitious trades and statements, DiPascali joined Madoff in learning how to run the software to continue the fraud and paying the programmers off for their silence. Besides Madoff, DiPascali was the only other person to run the infamous 17th floor operation at BMIS, where fraudulent transactions and account statements were produced for investors. DiPascali has credited his loyalty to Madoff as the primary reason he continued to participate in the fraud. â€Å"I was loyal to him,† DiPascali said. â€Å"I ended up being loyal to a terrible, terrible fault. † As DiPascali phrased it during a court hearing, â€Å"by 1990 or so, Bernie Madoff was a mentor to me and a lot more. Frank DiPascali’s attorney, Marc Mukasey, asserted that DiPascali operated with the belief that before the Ponzi scheme could collapse; Madoff would be able to repay investors and erase any fraud. DiPascali reportedly had such confidence in Madoff’s great personal wealth that he believed no matter what, investors could be protected. However, DiPascali enjoyed generous compensation while directing the fraudulent investing operation. DiPascali’s salary from BMIS topped $2 million per year and from 2002 through 2008 DiPascali had a fictitious investor account at BMIS named after his yacht, Dorothy Jo, from which he personally withdrew over $5 million. DiPascali also used his BMIS corporate platinum American Express card to fund vacations, entertainment, and other personal expenses. While Frank DiPascali did not conceive of the Ponzi scheme himself, he was second to none in actually managing the details of the fraud. The criminal complaint to which DiPascali plead guilty in August 2009 states, â€Å"DiPascali designed, developed and oversaw a wide and varying array of fictitious books and records all prepared to conceal the scheme from investors, auditors and regulators. † In addition to managing the backroom activities and generating false account records, DiPascali regularly spoke with clients and lied about their investment accounts.
